Moments 6.8.2008


The artist titled this, "Lunch." But it belies the casualness of the two people seated at the table and the open space where they meet. Instead the composition is fraught with linear rigidity from the railing in the foreground to the spokes of the concentric arches of the window in the background. "Lunch," hardly. More like. "I am held prisoner by my appetites. Are you going to eat that pickle?"
